More than 40 Irish companies joined the Irish trade mission to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) last week for a two-day programme in Riyadh, led by An Tánaiste (Deputy Prime Minister of Ireland) Leo Varadkar and Enterprise Ireland CEO Leo Clancy.

The single largest trade mission undertaken this year

The mission organised by Enterprise Ireland and the Irish government innovation and trade agency, was the single largest trade mission undertaken this year. It was a valuable experience for SF to reconnect with existing partners, facilitate the discussion of new opportunities and develop new relationships.

A growing opportunity for Irish enterprises

With KSA being the largest economy in the Arab region and one of the top 20 global economies in the world, this market represents a huge opportunity for Irish companies across a wide range of sectors. This mission has helped strengthen those opportunities and growing market share for Irish companies alike. Trade will be crucial to our recovery and now after Brexit, it’s more important than ever for Irish companies to diversify and explore new markets for their goods and services.

Ambitious Growth in Automation

Driven by the creativity of automation, we expect ambitious opportunities for exporting to the Gulf region in the coming years. It was an honour for SF to have been invited by Enterprise Ireland to participate in this very important trade mission.
