SF Wins Prestigious Irish Exporter Award
We were honoured to be awarded the coveted 2019 Medium-Sized Exporter of the Year at the recent Irish Export Industry Awards, following a year of strong international growth for the company.
Over 500 export industry professionals, local and international dignitaries were in attendance at the Irish Exporters Association’s Export Industry Awards in Dublin on 8th November. The black-tie gala event, held at the National Convention Centre and now in its 19th year, recognises the achievements of Irish Exporters across 12 categories. With award entries from Innovators and Small & Emerging exporters to the Multinationals, from Life Sciences and Food & Drink Exporters to the Services and Technology Exporters.
In a year that saw one of the most competitive processes in the Awards’ history, we were delighted to be shortlisted for 2 awards, Medium-Sized Exporter of the Year and Private Irish Business of the Year.
Each category was presided over by a prestigious judging panel who took into account a number of key factors including product innovation, long-term sustainability, and the company’s strategic plan. Up against some tough competition from Hanley Energy, Hovione, Turmec Teoranta and William Grant & Sons Irish Brands, we were honoured to take home the award.
Joined by members of the team on the evening, it was Owner and CEO, Seamus Farrell who took to the stage to collect the award from category sponsor DHL.
“SF Engineering has experienced continued growth over the last year despite tough trading conditions. Through strong partnerships with leading food manufacturers, we have continued to design and develop process innovations that position the company strongly within this competitive industry. We would like to thank the Irish Exporters Association and Enterprise Ireland for their support.”
Congratulations are extended to East Coast Bakehouse who were crowned overall 2019 Exporter of the Year on the night following their win of Small & Emerging Exporter of the Year in an earlier category.
